Expedition Traverse

May/June 2021

General: This is a new expedition which has be added to our winter expedition Portfolio for 2020. It entails a complete traverse of Northern Europes largest Glacier on touring skis taking in tops along the way. The group will be led by a local Norwegian guide aided and assisted by a well qualified winter ML from Destination Setesdal. The trip is open for all ski tourers of Intermediate ability or above; it requires that all participants have above average fitness.

The expedition is unique in that it is the only one of its type organized and run by an outdoor centre for UK Nationals combining an expedition Glacier traverse over several nights (tents) that includes several tops along the way.

General:

• All participants must be insured, a Nordic skiing course should cover the course description for the insurance company.
• All participants should be in average/good physical condition and be motivated to learn new skills in a challenging enviroment.
• A deposit is required to confirm a place
